“…Her beloved spends the night: is it in the dark glen,
Or in the rapid Danube, he waters his horse,
Or maybe, with another, another he does love,
Her, the dark-browed beauty, already forgotten?
If only to get the wings of an eagle,
Beyond the blue sea to find my beloved;
If Alive – I would love him. The other I’d suffocate,
And if not alive I would lay him in the grave…”
